A new USDA website features census-tract level data on food deserts across the U.S. Food deserts are low-income communities without ready access to affordable and healthy foods.  The locator provides a spatial view of the location of food desert census tracts, provides selected population characteristics of the tracts, and offers downloadable data on food deserts.
