The Pew Hispanic Center’s recent report <\/a>on college enrollments reports a 24% growth in Hispanic college enrollments from 2009 to 2010 among 18-to 24-year-olds attending college in the United States.  The number of Hispanics enrolled in college increased by 349,000 during the year, a larger increase than other racial or ethnic groups.<\/p>\n

In 2010, 31.9% of Hispanic young adults were enrolled in college, compared to 38.0% of Black, 43.3% of White, and 62.2% of Asian young adults.<\/p>\n

The researchers attribute the spike in Hispanic college enrollments primarily to increases in high school graduation rates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
